Step1：warm—up Let’s sing a song “Old Macdonald Had a Farm ”

（设计意图：优美的歌曲把学生引导英语学习的气氛中）

Step2: reviewing 1、T: what’s this ? S: It’s a panda. T: what’s this ? S: It’s an elephant. T: what’s this ? S: It’s a monkey.. 2、教师出示大象与小鸟，熊猫与猴子图片提问：

T: The elephant is big The bird is small The panda is fat The monkey is thin (设计意图：通过表演抢答，既复习了上节课内容，又为本课学习进行了热身。) Step3: Presentation 1.教师呈现第8课（板书课题：Lesson 8: Tigers And Bears）

T: now ,I brought some new animals ,do you want to see? S:yes .. 教师出示老虎卡片

T: what’s this ? S:It’s a “ tiger”. T: let’s one by one to read .(表扬学生并把卡片贴黑板上) T: Can you spell tiger?(学生拼写教师黑板书写单词) （用同样方法教学：wolf \ bear\ snake ）

(设计意图：用动物卡片让学生直观的学习单词，理解单词) 2.教师拿出两根长短不同的铅笔问学生他们的不同

T:Ok ,now, look here ,tell me the difference. S :长短不一样

T:长用英语说：long ( I read once ,you read three times) S:long T:师拿出铅笔 it’s long (同样方法教学：short ) (设计意图：用实物进行对比，在理解含义的基础上学习单词、直观、容易理解和记忆。) Step4: Pratice

1、T:let’s do the exercises(Fill in the blanks ,with “long”or “short”.) 师出示大象图片：

2.let’s paly 猜动物

教师拿出动物图片让学生猜来训练第一单元学过的句型

（设计意图：猜猜看是学生最喜欢的活动之一，教师可以巧妙地把学习的单词和句型在这一环节好好练习）
