VII. Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Greetings.

T:-Good morning, boys and girls! S:- Good morning, Miss Ma!

T:-How are you today? S:-I’m fine, thanks. How are you?

T:-Nice to meet you! S:-Nice to meet you, too.

T:-Well, sit down, please. S:-Thank you.

Step 2:Leading-in.

T: Can you guess what is it?

S: 苹果Apple.

T: Yes. You are clever. ( take out the apple.)

Step 3: New knowledge presentation.

Today we will learn some fruit. Then write the key words on the blackboard. “apple, pear, orange, watermelon” What do you like? I like apples/ pears/ oranges/ watermelons.

Step 4: Practice.

Read the words three times after the teacher, then read in groups, next in pairs and finally one student.

Use the sentence: What’s this? It’s a/an…

Use the key sentences to express what they like.

Step 5: Present part three. Review numbers one -ten.

How many? eleven bananas, twelve oranges , thirteen pears, fourteen apples, fifteen watermelons.( Emphasize the plural forms.)

Step 6: Practice and play. Practice about numbers.

Step 7: Review. Read the new words and sentences together.

Step 8: Listen to the tape and read after it. Then learn the song together.

When listening to the song, ask students to sing following the tape.
