教材分析

本模块的学习重点是现在进行时，而本课例所呈现的课文情境是现在进行时的一种典型语境：询问并讲述正在发生的事情。

学情分析

通过第一单元的学习，学生对正在发生的事情有了初步的了解。

再进入第二单元的强化巩固，让全体学生能运用“What are you doing? I’m listening to music．”进行讲述、询问和回答正在发生的事情。

教学目标

1、全体学生能够听、说、读：写单词和短语listen，listening to music，talk，talking to my friend，children．China. 2、全体学生能够运用句型：What are you doing? I’m listening to

music What’s Tom doing? He’s reading a book.询问并讲述正在发生的事情。 3、通过学习现在进行时，了解英国普通家庭的日常生活。

4、让学生敢于开口，在表达中不怕错误。

教学重、难点

重点：听懂、会说以及掌握要求所学单词、短语以及现在进行时。

难点：能在情境中询问并讲述正在发生的事情且举一反三灵活运用。

一、导入预习

Step 1 Warm up

1.

Greetings. T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning, Miss Zeng.

Now I do some actions, and you say out the verb phrases. OK? (OK!)Very well. You can say the phrases very well. Can you listen and do the actions well? (Yes.)

OK! Please stand up. Get ready. (Use the following phrases: watch TV, ride a bike, run, read a book, take pictures, swim, play with a toy train.) Wonderful! You can listen and do the actions very well. Please sit down.

二、自主预习（师生共学）

Step 2 Presentation and practice 1.

Teacher tells the students: Now I’ll ask four good actors to come to the Bb and do one action they like best . Tell the four students when they hear “freeze”, they should keep doing the actions. Then ask the other students ‘ What’s he /she doing?’ and ask the four students ‘What are you doing?’. Teach the sentence ‘What are you doing?’

Learn “listening to music”. (1)

Ask one student Do you like music? Please come here and listen to music. Then ask him/her What are you doing? If he/she can’t answer , help him/her answer I’m listening to music. Teacher teaches ‘listen, listen to, listen to music, listening to music’ and ‘I’m listening to music’. (Teacher writes the sentence ‘I’m listening to music’ on the Bb. The students repeat together. Ask one group of students repeat one by one. (2)

Ask the other students ‘Do you want to listen to music?’. (Yes.) OK! Let’s listen to music. Teacher plays the music. All the students listen to music and teacher asks one student ‘What

are you doing, child?’ Then ask three students ‘ What are you doing children?’ Show the students two pictures and teach the words ‘child’ and ‘children’.

Then ask the students to drive a train to practice the sentences while doing the actions like this:

T: I’m listening to music. What are you doing? S1: I’m listening to music. What are you doing? S2: I’m listening to music. What are you doing? S3: ……

Learn “talking to my friend” using the similar way.

Setting up a telephone ring and answer the telephone, and then ask the students What am I doing and answer I’m talking to my friend. Teach talking to my friend.

Ask the students to do the action and say ‘I’m talking to my friend’.

Ask the students to do the actions and say the verb phrases.

Step 3 Learning the text 1.

Look at the picture. This is Ms. Smart and this is Mr. Smart. They are talking about their children Sam, Amy and Tom. Let’s listen, repeat and answer the following questions:

What’s Tom doing?

Ask three students to answer the questions:

S1: Sam is listening to music. S2: Amy is talking to her friend. S3: Tom is reading a book.

T: Yes, he’s reading a book about China. Teach the word “ China” by looking at the map of China.
