Step1:warm up 1.
Watch the video Watch the video《yes, I can》. Q:How to describe your ability?(in order to have a brief understanding of the sentence structure:I can....) Step 2:presentation 1.Do and guess T: I will do some actions and let students guess“What can I do?”(In this way students will learn the new words “ swim, jump” and sentence structure: “ I can...”.) T: I can swim. I can jump. What can you do?
(to help students review the verbs they have learned before, such as “eat”

2.Story time (1)Watch and answer: Watch the cartoon and answer the questions: Q1: Who are they? Q2:Where are they? (the step here is to let students know:characters and

Read and answer: Students read the text by themselves and answer: Q1:Can WangBing play basketball? Q2:Can Mike play basketball? T:They can play basketball , can you praise them? Eg, How nice! Cool! Wonderful! Great! (I design this part is to pay attention to the details of this text and learn the sentence to praise others.) (3)
Read and circle: Q1. Can Liu Tao play basketball at first(首先)? Q2. Can Liu Tao play basketball at last(后来)? T:If you can not do something in the beginning, you can “Have a try”. At last, you may do it.
