Ss can read and spell the new phrases. Ss master the sentence of “It’s time to….”

Ss learn more words of sports.

Step 1

Warming up and Revision 1.Greetings. 2.Sing a song. (边唱边做,拉进师生间的情感距离,消除学生的紧张心理,为投入本课的学习,创造欢快的氛围,调动学生的学习热情。) 3.Count the numbers from 1 to 11. (引出课题,并为下文中出现的时间语句做铺垫。) Step 2 Presentation

1.Chant. (欢快的歌谣既起到活跃课堂气氛的作用,又能引出本课新知。) 2. Play a game. (用游戏渲染教学内容,学生兴趣浓厚。)

T: It’s time to play games. Let’s play a game now: “WOLF! WOLF! WHAT’S THE TIME?”

Show the picture and the word card. Ss should do the actions and say it quickly. (给学生以直观印象,多种感官参与学习,印象深刻。)

Say the phrase one by one.

在游戏中引出play basketball.

Show a basketball.

To explain basket+ball=basketball to the students. Do the action then say the phrase.

3.Play another game. (切西瓜) (营造愉悦课堂气氛,让同学们在学中玩,在玩中学。操练新词组play basketball和新句型It’s time to play basketball.)

4. Play the CAI. Let Ss watch cartoon. Then do the actions. (引用同学们特别喜欢的卡通片来辅助教学,学生们参与热情高涨。)

5. T: Guang Touqiang is playing basketball. What will Li Ming and Xiao Hui do? Let’s join them. 6. Play the tape for the first time. Show some questions:

a. What time is it? b. It’s time to _________

_________. (初步理解课文内容,对课文有个大概了解。) 7. Let the Ss listen to the tape carefully and try to answer the questions. 8. Ss answer the questions.

9. Show the picture of “ping- pong”. Say the phrase “play ping-pong” by loud sound or low sound. 10.Write “play games,”
