1. A fact is anything that can be proved. prove作"证明是; 结果是; 事实说明"解时, 用作连系动词, 可用于以下句型：

(1) prove+形容词

The handbook proved most useful. (2) prove+名词

She proved a very strict teacher.

(3) prove+介词短语或副词

Perhaps this book will prove of some use to you in your studies. (4) prove+动词不定式

As time went on, Einstein's theory proved to be correct.

在该结构中，it为形式主语，that从句为真主语。

注意!!! 有的“it is + 过去分词+that从句”结构可与“sb./ sth. is +过去分词+ to do”结构互换。

e.g. It is said that he studied abroad, but we don't know which country he studied in. = He is said to have studied abroad, but we don't know which country he studied in.

疑问词+ to do结构可在句中作主语、宾语和表语。

班级辩论报告属于议论文，要注意论点和论据之间的逻辑性以及不同论据之间的层次性。

2. 时态

通常情况下，用现在完成时和一般现在时。3. 结构

文章一般分四部分：

第一部分：开门见山，说明辩论的主题（what）、参与者（who）等。第二部分：列举正方观点及理由。

第三部分：列举反方观点及理由。

第四部分：得出结论或给出自己的观点。4. 常用句式：

We had a heated discussion/debate over whether or not university students should be financially independent. Opinions are divided on the question. The majority of the students think that university

students don't have to be financially independent. In their opinion, there are two factors contributing to this attitude as follows: in the first place, trying to make money will affect their studies. Furthermore, they think that they can repay their parents in the future by working hard now. So it goes without saying that they should focus on their studies rather than try to make money. The rest of the students, however, differ in their opinions on this matter. They hold the view that university students should be financially independent. In their point of view, doing part-time jobs will help one gain work experience and learn more of society. On the other hand, when students find it hard to make money, they won't waste their money any longer. As far as I am concerned, I think as grown-ups, we shouldn’t depend on our parents any more. We should try to balance between

our studies and doing part-time jobs.
