Analysis of the teaching material This storytime is the last part of unit one. The function of this part is not only to review key words and sentences of this unit but also to enlarge English input to students. In the story, Zoom and Zip want to employ a new goalkeeper and many animals come to have a try. Considering these animals’ physical conditions and the spirit of the teamwork, Zoom and Zip make the best choice.

Analysis of the students Students in Grade 6 have already learnt English for 3 years, hence they master not a few simple vocabulary and sentences. However, it hard to them to practice what they have learned, especially for those students in rural areas. But they are interested in funny stories and they are eager to show themselves off.
