一、学情分析：

本课为高一上学期的教材内容，高一学生才刚刚适应高中英语的学习模式，尽管已经有了一定的英语学习基础，但各方面的英语能力仍有待提高，特别是英语口语能力。智能机器人是学生普遍比较感兴趣的话题，并且，学生已通过本单元前几个课时对信息技术、电脑的基本情况和英语表达有了一定的认识。

二、教材分析：

本单元的中心话题是信息技术、电脑、机器人，旨在通过单元教学使学生经过思考、学习，了解当今时代日新月异的科学技术及其给人类发展带来的巨大影响，激发学生的科技创新意识。此外，本节课是该单元的第五个课时，为语言的综合运用课，包括阅读、口语、写作的训练。

三、教学目标和重难点：

1. 语言技能目标：能把握介绍类文章的篇章结构和文体特点，进一步提高阅读、口语、写作的语言综合运用能力。

2. 情感态度目标：了解当今时代日新月异的科学技术及其给人类发展带来的巨大影响，激发学生的科技创新意识。

3. 学习策略目标：学会相互交流的合作式学习方法。

4. 教学重点：使学生掌握介绍类文章的文体特点。

5. 教学难点：设计机器人，并用英语作文的形式呈现出来

四、教学流程

Step 1

Lead-in 1. Suppose we are visiting an android show in Shantou L.P.Y. International Conference & Exhibition Center. 2. Show Ss some pictures of different androids. 3. Ask Ss to describe the androids’ functions by using “It can do…” or “It works as…”

【设计说明】设置贴近学生生活的场景，激发学生兴趣；并引出了两个句型，为下面的写作环节做好铺垫。

Step 2

Reading 1. Ask Ss to read the introduction of Andy, a football android in the textbook, and fill in the file for it. Name Andy 1

2. Instruct Ss to summarize what should be mentioned when writing an introduction. (brief introduction, function/ability, a fancy dream)

3. Ask Ss to read the passage again carefully and answer the following questions. (1) What helps him to move and think like a human? (2) What does Andy think about the team who beat them last year? why? (3) What does the programmer do to Andy?

【设计说明】通过任务设计，培养学生捕捉、处理文本信息的阅读能力；并引导学生总结出介绍机器人应当涵盖的内容，为下面的口语和写作环节搭建“脚手架”。

Step 3

Speaking 1. Ask Ss to have a role-play in pairs. One plays the role of visitor asking questions about the football android, and the other plays the role of the guide on the android show. 2. Ask some Ss to present their role-play. 【设计说明】设置真实的生活情境，让学生能充分利用本节课所学的语言知识以实现信息有效输出，并锻炼口头表达能力。

Step 4

Speaking & Writing: Fly your imagination

1. Ask Ss to form a group of four, and design their own androids. 2. Ask Ss to write a passage and draw a picture to introduce their own android, including its name, size, appearance, ability and the designer’s fancy dream.

3. Let Ss to make a presentation. 【设计说明】

让学生通过小组合作，充分利用本节课所学的语言知识实现信息有效输出，锻炼学生英语写作能力，培养团队合作的精神，激发学生的想象力和创造力。
