One day, a man visits the emperor with some new clothes. He is a tailor. He takes out the first suit. It is a suit with two long zips.

T: My emperor, look at this suit. It has two long zips. It looks so cool! E: No, I don’t like the colour of the suit. The emperor doesn’t like this suit. The tailor throws it away. Then, he takes out the second suit. It is a suit with two pockets.

T: My emperor, look at this suit. It is ... (colour). It is a suit with ...

... ... Try it on! Try it on, please! E: No, I don’t like it. It is out of date. The tailor throws the second suit away. The tailor opens the box and takes out the third suit away. 5

T: The suit looks so wonderful! You can’t miss it, I think!

T: My emperor, look at this suit. It is ... (colour). It is a suit with ... It has ... Try it on! Try it on! You look so ... Wow! It is a suit with a star button. How shining! The emperor is surprised(惊讶的)to see the beautiful suit. So he nods with a big smile.

E: Oh, well...

Just have a try. The emperor tries on the suit. He looks at himself. E: Oh, it’s too small. I’m not comfortable. I like none of the suits. Make some new clothes for me! Then, the tailor has a good idea.

T: I have some magic clothes. They’re very beautiful, but only clever people can see them! The man opens his box. The emperor cannot see any clothes, but he nods with a big smile and says, ‘They’re so beautiful!’ So the emperor gives the man a lot of money and puts on the new clothes. The emperor walks down the street. People keep silent. But a child cries out, ‘Look! He has nothing on!’

The emperor is embarrassed(尴尬的).
