《More about animals》教学设计

【教学内容】

Longman Book 1B, Chapter 4 More About Animals 第一课时。

【学情分析】

本课的教学对象为一年级学生。学生经过一个学期的学习，对于英语学习有了一定的基础和兴趣，平时也能做到认真预习。一年级的学生在逐步养成良好的课堂习惯，对于老师的课堂指令基本可以领会。本课为朗文1B第四单元的第一课时，学生在第二、三单元已经学习了一些动物（如dog、turtle、rabbit、elephant、hippo、zebra）的名词。本课的教学内容是动物词汇，新授现在进行时态be doing，要求学生描述动物正在做什么。

【设计思路】

本课通过设计贴近学生生活的情景，到动物园里参观，看看动物们都在做什么有趣的事情来呈现本节课的重点单词和句型。利用有趣真实的图片吸引学生的注意力，提高学习兴趣。课中坚持以话题为核心，以功能、结构为主线，以任务型活动安排本课教学。注重学生听、说、唱、玩等几个方面能力的综合训练，采用任务型教学模式，通过启发

式教学法、情景法、直观法、游戏法、全身反应法等TPR活动教学法和多媒体辅助教学，充分激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

【教学目标】

1. Ss are able to understand the present continuous tense through looking and talking about the animals’ pictures: sleeping, eating, hopping, swimming, fighting, running, and flying. 2. Ss are able to use the present continuous tense to describe what the animals are doing in the singular third person.

【教学重点】

1.To introduce the use of the present continuous tense to talk about actions at the time when they are taking place. 2. Ss are able to describe the following actions correctly: sleeping, eating, hopping, swimming, fighting, running, flying.

【教学难点】

1. Ss are able to understand the sentences and apply the form to simple given situations correctly. 2. Ss are able to read and understand the two actions correctly: hopping, fighting.

【教学过程】

1. Learning targets. T shows the learning targets to the Ss. (设计意图：让学生知道本节课的学习目标，做到目标互知。) 2. Sing a song and brainstorm . A．Sing a song together：How are you？

B．Brainstorm： a）Name more animals: T:What animals can you see in the song? Ss: I can see___.

b)What can the animals do? Ask Ss to name out the ability verbs about animals and T lists them out on board. T: Yes, animals are very clever. They can do many things. What can the animals do? You can try to say: The____ can ____. (设计意图：To stimulate Ss’ background knowledge about animals.) 3. Lead in.

T shows a picture about the Fun Zoo. Have Ss read: Look, this is the fun zoo. There are many animals.Let’s go to the Fun Zoo.

(设计意图：To set a proper context.) 4. Look and say.

P.P.T. shows a picture and the sentence: It is Sunday. The animals at Fun Zoo are very busy. What are they doing? Look! Then show three pictures about the animals one by one. Have Ss look and say with teacher. a. Look！The zebra is running. Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ is running. b. Look！The panda is hopping. Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ is hopping. c. Look! The tiger is swimming! Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ is swimming. (设计意图：To introduce the present continuous tense. Help Ss to understand the actions and let Ss talk about them..) 5. Act and say.

T shows the whole pictures, have Ss to talk about it with the sentences: Running, running.The ___ is running！Hopping, hopping.The ___ is hopping！

P.P.T. shows a picture about the moon and the star. Tell students to go to the Fun Zoo at night. Ask Ss to guess: What are the animals doing. Then shows the pictures or sounds, have Ss look, listen and guess. Say the sentences: a. Listen! The elephant is sleeping! Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ is sleeping. b. Listen! The fish is eating. Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ is eating. c. Listen! The tigers are fighting! Then show more animals and let Ss to say: The___ s are fighting. (设计意图：To introduce more actions with present continuous tense of the animals.) 7. Talk about the animals in groups.

P.P.T. shows the animals in the night. Have Ss form pairs to talk about them: Sleeping, sleeping. The ___ is sleeping！Eating, eating.The ___ is eating！

8. Read and match.

Have Ss to read the words together. Then match the pictures to the words. (设计意图：To get Ss be familiar with the words and sentences.) 9. Funny animals show.

P.P.T. shows some animals and give Ss’ the tips: Many animals like to mime people. Here is a funny animals show. Guess: What are they doing? Have some individuals to choose the message clips, read and act, the other Ss guess and say: The ___ is ___ing. The __s are ___ing. (设计意图：To consolidate the sentence structure and extend Ss’ description about the animals.) 10. Chant together. Have Ss to do the chant together with music.T: The animals at Fun Zoo are so fun. Are you happy to see them? Let’s do a chant together.

T makes a conclusion about the present continuous tense. Explain it and let Ss read them.Then give homework. (设计意图：To let Ss be clear of what they learned in this class.) 【板书】
