一、教学内容分析

The topic of this unit is history and the Amber Room. The reading passage is about the Amber Room which can help students enlarge their knowledge of Russian history as well as broaden their horizons. During this period, we will practice our reading skills. Besides, we will learn about what the Amber Room is like. By arousing the students' interest in the Amber Room , this part of the teaching material is intended to awake their love for history and Amber Room. 二、教学目标

1.Knowledge aims ：Fully understand the passage. Master some useful words and expressions. Learn about the Amber Room. 2.Ability aims ：Develop their reading skills. Learn about Russian history. 3.Emotional aims ： Appreciate different cultures. Build up character through reading. to arouse the patriotic spirit of the students and improve their team spirit by doing the group work 三、学习者特征分析

On one hand, as the students have just started their study in high school, they are not completely accustomed to it. They find it difficult to follow the teacher . On the other hand, they are curious about the new life, and eager to learn whatever they are taught. They are active in class. So I will teach them the proper way to learn English and encourage them to learn English well. What's more, I will focus on how to develop their interest in learning English. 四、教学过程

运用多媒体展示让内容形象直观，导入琥珀屋这个话题，提高学生学习的自觉性和主动性。同时让学生了解俄国的历史。

图文并茂加上老师的讲解，让枯燥的知识生动化，让学生直观的感受意识产生的自然过程，并能够较快接受相关词汇。进一步理解课文打好基础

文中相关的年代和时期，按照琥珀屋的线索把时间排序

让学生根据图片猜测这些作品所属的年代，归属国

八、教学反思

这节课主要是阅读为主，之前的热身模块是为了是学生对此感兴趣，让学生了解琥珀屋的历史并且认识新词汇。热身时播放自己剪辑的图片，个人认为是一个亮点，里面涵盖了不同的艺术作品。同时视频的播放将课堂推向高潮。虽然这个话题有点难度，但是还是一部分学生能够积极用自己的语言来进行总结。但是可能不是每个学生都能取得很好的效果。特别是整堂课大部分都是英语授课，学生之后效果可能明显。。所以如果再上这种课型，在选材方便得注意适中原则。
