Ⅱ句式突破

1．Is it enough to have survived for a long time?

已经存在了很长一段时间就足够了吗？

本句中it为形式主语，不定式短语to have survived for a long time是真正的主语。不定式短语作主语时，往往放在谓语之后，用it作形式主语。

It is right to give up smoking.戒烟是对的。

It is necessary to learn English well.学好英语是必要的。

(2)不定式短语作宾语时，如果还带有宾语补足语，往往把不定式短语放在宾语补足语之后，而用it作形式宾语。

【翻译句子】

(2)表示本能够做某事，而实际上却未做。

You could have passed the exam，but you didn't try your best.你本能够通过考试，但你并没有尽最大努力。

当doubt作动词时，在肯定句中接whether引导的宾语从句，也可用if替换whether，在否定句、疑问句中后跟that引导的宾语从句。即：doubt if/whether 从句
