Unit 1 What are they doing?

一、教学目标：

知识技能

1. 能听懂、会说单词和词组：let’s, get on, doing taijiquan, rowing a dragon boat, playing chess, drinking milk, hungry.

2. 能听懂、会说、会运用句型What are they doing? 描述多人正在进行的活动，以及会用

They are doing……进行回答。

学习策略

1.

教会学生在阅读的过程中快速获取关键信息。

2.

引导学生整体阅读课文对话，理解课文细节信息。

3.

学生能在实际的生活场景中听懂单词、句型并能进行恰当的口语交际。

情感态度

懂得端午节的传统习俗赛龙舟，以及中国传统健身太极拳，和中国象棋，他们是中国的传统，需要我们去传承和发扬。

二、教学重难点：

1.学习并懂得运用句型What are they doing? They’re ……

2.掌握单词及词组：do taijiquan/ row a dragon boat / play chess/ drink soya milk

三、教学过程：

Step One: Lead-in 1. Self-introduction（教师自我介绍）

The teacher introduces herself using a song with the students. 〔设计说明〕：教师通过介绍自己并唱walking这首歌，师生相互熟悉，活跃气氛，铺垫单词walking, running。 2. Look at the pictures and do some actions.（学生看图做动作，并说出相应的英文。）

The teacher let the students do some actions and answer the questions. The students try to say ‘I’m…’

〔设计说明〕：通过相应图片的呈现，让学生看图做动作，并说出相应的英文来复习旧知：What are you doing? I’m…

Step Two: Presentation

1.

Bring up the topic（揭示话题）

The teacher tells the students the topic of this lesson, and asks them

what are they doing. 〔设计说明〕：通过谈论学生已经知道的动作，调动学生相关知识储备，为进入课文阅读进行铺垫。

2.Study the part 1 （学习课文第一部分）

The teacher shows the pictures of the Part 1. Then the teacher asks the students answer. 〔设计说明〕：通过旧知的动词短语和新知句型What are they doing? They’re…的融合，学生能较快掌握第一部分。

The teacher shows the video and let the students follow it. 〔设计说明〕：通过跟读课文第一部分，学生能巩固新知句型What are they doing? They’re…的用法。

3、Study the part 2 （学习课文第二部分）

（1）Watch the video and answer the question: Where are they?(看动画，回答问题：他们在哪里？) The students watch the video and answer the question: Where are they? 〔设计说明〕：通过看动画，初步感知课文第二部分，并回答问题：他们在哪里？) （2）Study the picture 1(学习第一幅图) The teacher acts a driver, let Daming and Amy act passengers. Then let’s get on the bus. 〔设计说明〕：通过教师扮演司机，大明和艾米扮演乘客，以及让学生加入上车，使学生融入情景，并学习新短语：get on （3）Study the picture 2、3(学习第二幅图和第三幅图) The teacher drivers the bus and stops in the park. Let them listen and answer :What are they doing? 〔设计说明〕：通过教师开动公共汽车，并停下车后，呈现图2和图3.让学生听音并回答问题。教师通过TPR教授doing taijiquan.

（4）Study the picture 4、5(学习第四幅图和第五幅图) The teacher drivers the bus and stops on the lake. Let them listen and answer :What are they doing? 〔设计说明〕：通过教师开动公共汽车，并停下车后,呈现图4和图5.让学生听音并回答问题。教师通过TPR教授rowing a dragon boat.

（5）Study the picture 6、7、8(相同的方法学习第六、七、八幅图) （6）Study the picture 9(学习第九幅图) The teacher lets the students listen and answer: Is Amy hungry? Then she asks them :Are you hungry, now? Let get off the bus and go into the restaurant. 〔设计说明〕：通过教师问课文艾米饿没，从而过渡到问他们饿没。然后下车进入餐馆来结束这段旅行。

Step Three: Consolidation 1. Read after the video .（全班跟读课文）

The students read after the video and use their fingers to point it. 〔设计说明〕：通过学生跟读课文并用手指指读，让学生从整体上再次回顾课文内容。

2. Role play（角色扮演读课文）

〔设计说明〕：通过教师扮演大明，学生扮演艾米；一二组学生扮演大明，三四组扮演艾米；最后单独请两位同学扮演大明和艾米来朗读课文。让学生再次巩固课文。

3、Say a rhyme The students say a rhyme about the text. 〔设计说明〕：通过有关课文的韵律诗巩固学生对阅读课文中新句型和新短语的运用。

4、Play a game(玩翻牌游戏) One student choose one number, the others say: What are they doing? He/She answers: They’re … 〔设计说明〕：通过让一个学生翻牌选数字，然后他们学生问，他答的形式再次巩固和拓展新知。

Step Four: Homework 1、Talk about the story to your friends. (向朋友们说说这个故事。) 2、Guess and continue to write the sorry. （猜想并续写故事）

3、Act out your story. （合作表演你续写的故事准备下节课表演。）

〔设计说明〕：通过具有层次性的作业设计，兼顾到学生说、写、演等各方面能力的发展，引导学生学以致用。

Step Fiver: Summary Let the students watch the video. 〔设计说明〕：通过学生观看有关太极拳、划龙舟和中国象棋的视频，对学生进行情感教育。
