教材分析

择了西红柿鸡蛋面。这篇课文中Daming把中国的食物“面条”介绍给Amy，这是一种文化意识的交流；Daming为Amy提供多种食物供其选择，这又是非常尊重对方的做法，发扬了中华民族的传统的美德。这篇课文中既复习了现在进行时，又复习了一般现在时，这说明时态的综合运用是英语中常见的语言运用现象。学生学完本课后能够归纳已学的食物词汇，建立食物的相关词汇图，并能询问他人是否想要某种食物，对中西方的饮食文化差异也能有所了解。

本单元的重点是运用句型“Do you want some...?”来询问他人对食物的需要，并能用“Yes, please.”或“No, thank you.”就他人的提问进行回答；这是一般现在时语句的运用。学生对讨论食物这一话题会比较感兴趣，而对于“Do you...?”这一句型已经接触过。如：在三年级下册M4U1中就已经学过运用语句“Do you 学情分析

like...?”询问他人是否喜欢某种事物，并能就他人的提问进行回答。本单元对于问句中只是进行了实义动词替换，因此学生对问句的学习会相对容易，而学生在学习答句“Yes, please.”和“No, thank you.”时会与之前学过的“Yes, I do.”和“No, I don’t.”相混淆。另外本单元还出现了两个形近词”tomato”和”potato”，学生在学习和记忆这两个词时会有困难。
