pictures of Australia and ask Ss to guess the country we are going to talk about---“Today we are going to learn about a country. It is a country and also a continent. It is surrounded by oceans. While many other countries are having winter, it is in summer. In this country, you will see many

plants and animals that cannot be found anywhere else. My next destination is Australia,The typical animal of Australian - kangaroo (on the lelf ) and the emu (on the right), the symbol of the nation. A shield is in the middle , the six different pictures on it stand for the

six states of Australian .the star on the top symbolizes the

federal state.

Accommodation Today we are talking about some tourist places in Australia and

ask

Ss to read out tourist places on ppt together and play the videos and ask Ss to distinguish what city does each picture associates with. Look at the pictures. What do you see in each picture? Can you recognize them? Ask Ss to find the places listed in Question 1 on the map . show the map of the Australia and let Ss find out the right places of the tourist places . we have learned Sydney , Great

Barrier Reef , Uluru , Kakadu , Perth

and Canberra.

Ask Ss to work in groups and discuss what they know about these places.

where is your favorite tourist places ? let Ss do a game on the iPad and write down the their favorite tourist places in Australia . Ss can remember the new words quickly and fast.

Pre-reading

Ask Ss to quickly glance at the five text and ask one student come to the front of the class to say the Chinese meaning of the different texts.
