Unit 3 Computers The 3rd period: learning about Language

---the Present Perfect Passive Voice

Goals: 1. Learn the Present Perfect Passive Voice. 2. Help the students master the way of using the correct voice, telling the differences between the active voice and the passive voice.

Teaching Procedures: Step 1: lead-in(ask the students some questions about the computer to arouse their interest) Say: 1.what can you see in the picture?

2.what has the computer been used in our daily?

(show them some pictures and ask them to make some sentences , using the Present Perfect Passive Voice.) Eg: Computers have been used to watch moives

Computers have been used to search information

Computers have been used to communicate with friends Step2: Discovering Ask the Ss to discover whether these sentences(selected from the textbook) have something in common.. Help them to learn the useful structure : the Present Perfect Passive Voice.

Step3: summarize: learning the structure Give some explanations（usages）

（1）Workers

The house has been built by the workers since two years ago. （2）I have received many packages since last week. Many packages have been received since last week. 2.定义

（1）表示过去发生的被动的动作对现在产生的影响和结果。常与already，yet，never，recently等副词及时间状语so far，by now，up till/to now，since, since then，over/during/in the last past few years，before...等连用。

（2）表示一个被动的动作或状态从过去开始，持续到现在，并且有可能继续持续下去。(常与for＋时间段或since＋时间点等时间状语连用）

3.练习

Ask the students to make up sentences using the present perfect passive voice by observing different pictures. 4.注意事项

（1）并不是所有动词都有被动语态。如:happen, take place, die, appear, disappear, come true, belong to等无被动形式。

（2）短语动词不可丢掉其中的介词或副词。

Step4: Practice and exercises Put the Chinese into English to complete the sentences. 1. How many soldiers _____________ (已派遣) to help the disaster area?

Step5: Group work. Ask the students to make up a short passage with their group members by using the present perfect passive voice.

1. Give The Ss the situation : divide the students into several groups.

2. Give the Ss some examples: BaiHe Senior High School 2

BaiHe Senior High School was founded in 1941, which covers an area of 260 mu. A brand new campus has been built since 2011. Since the autumn of 2014, different buildings have been finished. With the help of teachers here and their own efforts, many outstanding students have been admitted into key universities including Qsinghua and Peking University. The students here are working harder than before. More and more attention has been drawn by our school. All of us believe that our school will be developed better and better. Step6: consolidation: Homework(this is a key step for students to keep their study enthusiasm and enhance their foundation) Write a poet or a story that happened in your daily life by using the grammar structures we learnt today as many as possible.
