一、教学目标

(一）语言目标：

（1）词汇:能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词an old woman ,an old man , help old people on the road, make tea, make cakes, clean their houses/homes, sing to them ,make them happy, weak ,slow。

(2)句型：能用“What can I do?”“I can

....”对老人提供帮助。

(二）应用目标：

（1）能用“What can I do?”“I can

....”对老人提供帮助。

（2）能听懂、会说A部分的课文内容

二、教学重难点

重点：通过本单元学习，激发学生对老人的关爱和帮助。

难点：能正确理解“I can ask Mum to make cakes for them.”

四、教学过程

Step1. Warm-up 1、Greetings 2、Brainstorm头脑风暴，用”I can......”说句子

Presentation

1、创设情境：志愿者活动

（课件出示老人照片）

T：老人需要帮助和关爱，我们来当当志愿者，给予他们帮助。

（1）出示“make tea”，并出示词组条（师带读，生分组读）

出示图片，提问“What can I do”，引出句型“I can make tea for them.”（师带读，生分男女生读）

（2）课件依次展示词组条“make cakes, sing to them ,make them happy, help old people on the road, clean their houses/homes，”并引导学生用“I can ......”说出能提供的帮助

（3）总结怎么提供帮助。（生多种方式读，操练句型）

2、game:游戏巩固

（1）闪光灯，快速闪现词组，请学生读出来

（2）幸运转盘：当转盘在哪里停止时，学生说出向对应的句子。

3、Part A: the text (1) Listen and find(画出五件孩子们能提供的帮助）

We can do a lot of things to help them.such as pound their back, tell them stories, wash her face, or just talk to them to make them happy. We are growing up day by day,we are taller and taller, stronger and stronger, but they become older and older,slower and slower. All they need is “help”

and “love”. My dear children,hold their hands. We help them,we love them forever.
