Unit2 Using language Learners Analysis

The students of senior Two have already learned the reading skills systematically,and they also have a clear idea about the reading.Otherwise,for the most parts of my students can’t use it well.There are different situations in my class,so while teaching I should consider choosing hierarchical teaching. Also,most of the students have not enthusiastic for reading.Then I need to design carefully the contents.

Materials Analysis

(1)The lesson that I am going to teach is Unit2 using language, taken from English Book 2. (2)Reading skills are the important and difficult point when we teach reading.It is significant for students to understand the frame of reading.

Linguistic objectives By the end of this class, the students will be able to grasp the usage of reading skills.Also,students will be able to use the reading skills skillfully.

My teaching philosophy: Reading and speaking teaching classroom, teachers should take the role of scaffolding for the students. He should not tell the students everything, but provide support for the students to find things on their own. Another key element in reading teaching is strategy, with which students can have a deep understanding of reading. Therefore, the class time should be given to students to comprehend and conclude the reading points by using study strategy.

With the teacher’s careful scaffolding and the study strategy, the reading and speaking class will be successful in developing the learners’ learning competence in the end. Specific teaching methods:

Teaching Reflection The key point of the lesson:first of all, this lesson is a task-based a process in which the teacher manages to set up scaffolding for the Ss by carrying out a series of activities.

Second, in the lesson, the teacher try to improve students’

ability to use reading skills synthetically, including oral competence、writing skills, and learning strategies. Last but not least, the teacher try to activate the students’ schemata by presenting the students with table.

The evaluation of the learning effect includes two parts: classroom presentation and homework. 1) Classroom presentation: The stage4 of this lesson is the application stage in which the Students have to use what they have learned in practice. From the Students’

presentation and performance, we can know the students’
