Course Date English May 17, 2017 Title Happy moments Class C1,C2,C3,C4G1 Teacher Period Sophie 2 Analysis of teaching materials: In this chapter pupils consolidate their understanding of when and how to use the present continuous tense to describe actions.They learn how to describe where people are doing things in the home.In the task,they participate in a ‘Show-and-tell’

activity using photos of their family members doing funny or interesting things.They enjoy singing a song about what family members are doing and collaborate to write an extra verse.

Analysis of learners:

There are 21 students in our class,9 girls and 12 boys.After 1 year of English learning.They have the certain English foundation.

We have learned the present continue tense in Chapter 3.Some of them can do the exercises such as translate Chinese into English, but 2-3students’learning abilities are poor. Learning aims:

While-task procedures

1.T:The pandas can climb,the tigers can run.What can you do ?Can you introduce yourself to all the teachers ?(Invite a few students.)Now,guess what can I do ?(dance,cook,watch TV,play football,make a plane,ride a bicycle) Teach the new verbs and revise the present continuous tense using the 1.Speak out,try to use the structure we have learned. 2.Play words game. 【dance】老师做动作,学生根据老师的动作猜单词。

学生集体大小声读单词。(老师大声念,学生小声念或反之)

【cook】请一名学生上台戴上厨师帽,做出做饭的动作引出单词。所有的孩子一起来做一做cook的

flash cards.Put the flash cards on the board and ask pupils to mime each action. Game1:Let’s find the card. Game2:Can you guess?

2.Spell the verb(cook,cooking,dance,dancing.

T:We use am/is/are +ing for actions that people are doing now. Eg:He is sleeping. Game:Let the students put the words in the right order. 3.T:How many people are there in your family?Is your father/mother tall/short/thin/fat/young/beautiful? 动作,根据老师的指令快速读单词。

【watch TV】同dance的引入方法,一名同学到前面闭上眼睛,教室将单词卡片藏在其余孩子中的一个的书本下,当找卡片的同学离单词越近,孩子们齐读的声音就越大,离单词卡片越远,齐读声音就越小。

【play football】同上一个单词的活动。

【make a plane】教师折纸飞机,引出单词,男女生分组朗读。

【ride a bicycle】单个读,边读边要拍卡片,老师会随机抽走,拍到卡片者胜利。

集体操练:单词放在黑板上并配有其余动作符号,根据老师的指令读单词做动作,遇到炸弹不要读(分组比赛,做错者则其余2组获胜)玩3轮
