教学目标：

1. To learn the useful new words and expressions in this part. 2. To have a better understanding of the main idea of the passage. 3. To develop reading ability and learn different reading skills. 4. To enable the students to grasp the progress of computers. 5. To enable the students to talk about robots in English and express or support an opinion with suitable expressions

学情分析:

The students in this class are mainly from villages in mountains and their

English

is very poor. In addition, some students don’t like to study English

or speak English, so we must spend much time in class to motivate their

interests and encourage them to speak English as much as possible.Computers and robots are useful and helpful in our life. In this unit, we use some pictures and a video to lead in the topic and try to arouse the students’

interests in learning. As we know,

interest is the best teacher. 教学重点难点

Step 1 Lead-in T: The technology develops so quickly that many new things appear in human being’s life. Let’s guess what they are: (show the pictures on the screen and get Ss to say out the answers: robots ) Step 2 Reading TASK 1: Fast reading Get the students to read the passage fast and answer the following questions:

TASK 2 Careful reading Ask the Ss to read the text carefully and fill in the blanks according to the passage.
