一、

课标解读：

课标提出了新的阅读要求：高中阅读词汇上，要求达到36万词以上。高一应达到20万词以上。且新标准要求高中毕业能理解阅读材料中不同的观点和态度，能识别不同文体的特征，能通过分析句子结构理解难句和长句，能在老师的帮助下欣赏浅显的文学作品，能根据学习任务的需要从电子读物或网络中获取信息，并进行加工处理。

然而听力教学长期以来一直是英语教学中的一个薄弱环节。新课程标准理念下的英语听力教学的方针要求更高。高中英语课程的方针中七级是高中阶段必须到达的级别要求。七级听力方针1.能辨认语段中的重要信息。并进行简略的推断；2.能听懂操作性指令，并能按照要乞降指令完成任务；3.能听懂正常语速听力材料中对人和物的描写、情节发展及结果；4.能听懂有关熟悉话题的谈话并能抓住要端；5.能听懂熟悉话题的内部实质意义，辨认不同语气所表达的不同态度；6.能听懂一般场合的信息广播

二、教学设计初稿：

Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to 1. Learn some new words like bargain, pain, deserve etc. and know about the usage of suffixes“ful”and“less”

2. Practice reading and listening skills like getting special information and taking notes while listening. 3. Learn more about the ancient Greek literature and develop the ability of expressing yourself in English. 4. Get the general idea of The Story of Atlanta Key Point: Ss may have difficulty getting special information and taking notes while listening Difficult Point: Ss may have difficulty getting special information and taking notes while listening.

Teaching Methods: Task-based method, cooperative learning Teaching Procedures: Step 1 warming up

a. Talk about stories or persons in ancient Greek.

b. Show some pictures of persons in ancient Greek to the students and ask them to talk about

类似deserve后接动名词的主动形式表示被动意义的动词还有：need, want, require等。

5．“the＋比较级；the＋比较级”的结构，其意义为“越……；就越……”。前一个“the＋比较级”是条件状语从句，后一个是主句。主句用一般将来时，前面的从句用一般现在时表示将来。
