4.Teaching steps. Step one: Preparation. 1. Greeting:

Hello, boys and girls. How are you!

Welcome to English class. 2. Discussion: Begin a discussion in Chinese about farms. T:Today we are going to learn---- Lesson1 On the Farm Demonstrate the title on the blackboard. Ask the students to read the title for several times.

Step two: presentation. 1. Show the picture of the farm on the ppt.

Demonstrate the key word---farm on the blackboard. Students read the word in line.

2. Show the picture of the farmer on the ppt.

T: I am a teacher. You are students. He is a farmer. Follow me to read this word and spell the word. 3. Show farm and farmer. 农场farm ---农民farmer 工作work---工人worker 教teach---

教师teacher Look at the three groups. What can you find? 同学们，请你仔细观察这三组词，从中你能发现什么呢？

单词的末尾加er，单词的意思就成了从事这项工作的人。

4. Show the picture of pig on the ppt.

T:Listen, what’s this? The teacher imitate pig’s sounds.

S:猪。

T：OK, good. Follow me to read----Pig.

And ask the students to spell the word.

Read the word high and low. 5. Show the picture of the cow on the ppt.

T:Listen, what’s this? The teacher imitate cow’s sounds.

S:牛。

T：Yes, perfect. Cow. The students need to follow the teacher to read the word. 6. Show the picture of the sheep on the ppt.

T:Listen, what’s this? The teacher imitate sheep’s sounds.

S:羊。

T：Sheep.

Ask the students to read the key words again.

7.Show the key sentences Demonstrate the key sentences on the blackboard. The teacher asks and the students answer for several times. Then switch the role. At last, the students practise the sentences in groups. Several groups will be asked to demonstrate.

8. Follow the tape to read. Ask the students to open the books and follow the tape to read the dialogues.

Step Two: Let’s play a game.

Act and guess Step Three: Exercise Demonstrate the exercise on the PPT, and ask the students to do them in several minutes.

Step four: production.

1. Play the song on the audiotape. 2. Play again and sing the song. Step Five :Summary Point out the key words and sentences again. In this way, the students master the knowledge again.
