一、教学目标
(一)语言目标
1. 能听、说、读、写can, help, old people, make them happy, clean their homes, carry things;
能理解、说Ms, take... to, enjoy themselves。
2. 能运用“
I can help them... /I can...”表达自己能为他人提供的帮助。
(二)应用目标
1. 能在情境中运用句型“
I can... ”表达自己能为他人提供的帮助。
2. 能阅读和理解课文D部分的小故事。
3. 能根据课文大意回答问题。
(三)情感目标:让孩子们学会关爱他人、帮助他人。
二、教学重、难点
重点:能在情境中运用句型“
I can... ”表达能提供的帮助;
能阅读和理解课文D部分的小故事。
难点:能运用“
help sb. ( to ) do sth. ”的表达方式;
能完成D部分的练习。

四、教学过程
Step 1: Warm - up/ Revision 1.
Greetings 2.
Free talk: What did you do yesterday?
Eg: I played my computer. 3.
Lead - in: Watch a video
( 1 ) What can you see or hear in this video?
( 2 ) Choose:
What festival is it?
A. the Spring Festival
B. the Mid- Autumn Festival
C. the Double Ninth Festival
( 3 ) Look, it’s the Double Ninth Festival. And it’s the festival for the old people. 4.
Brainstorming:
So, what can you do for the old people?
I will flash the phrases, you can say the sentences with it.
Eg: I can make tea for the old people.
( make cakes/ make them happy/ tell stories/ clean their houses/ help them on the road )
Step 2: Let’s practise What else can we do? 1.
Let’s talk about the pictures:
What are they going to do?
They will get on the bus.
