教材分析：

本节课的教学内容为冀教版小学英语六年级下册（2011三年级起点）第三单元的第十八课《Three kites in the Sky》。本单元的重点是Danny、Jenny和Li Ming用will来讨论他们的暑假计划，享受暑假的乐趣。本节课是对本单元教学内容的运用和拓展，讲述三个不同的风筝，在天空中飞翔的过程中，遇到落水男孩所持有的态度与所做的行为，告诉学生美好的品德更受大家的喜爱和尊重。本节课的故事符合六年级学生的认知水平，在教师的指导下学生容易理解故事，并愿意进行故事的表演和改编。

学情分析：

六年级的学生已经有了一定的语言基础，他们具备了一定的口语表达能力和阅读能力，也能够借助图片，读懂和描述图片要表达的信息。在学习本节课之前，学生已经学过了如何用形容词描述外貌等特点及其相关的动词短语，这都为本节课奠定了基础。

教学目标：

知识与能力：1.掌握单词kite、beautiful、strong、fast、nice、remember. 2.通过看故事、读故事等方式，让学生了解故事，感知本单元的核心语句： Everyone will look up at me. She has many colours and a ling red tail. She can fly very high in the sky. How beautiful I am!How fast I am!能够理解课文。

过程与方法：以话题为线索，通过整体感知语境，看故事、演故事、改编故事等多种方式培养学生的阅读能力及综合能力。

情感态度与价值观：培养学生乐于助人的品质，帮助他们树立正确的价值观，让他们懂得美好的品德更受大家的喜爱和尊重。

教学重点：通过看故事、读故事等方式，让学生了解故事，感知本单元的核心语句： Everyone will look up at me. She has many colours and a ling red tail. She can fly very high in the sky. How beautiful I am!How fast I am!理解课文。

教学难点：通过对课文的理解，表演故事，改编故事。
