Lesson 8 Tigers and Bears

一、教材分析

本课是冀教版小学英语三年级下册第二单元第8课。这一单元的知识体系是围绕动物园的动物展开的。我把本课定位为词汇句型课，本课分别介绍了动物园的四种动物老虎，熊，狼，蛇以及描述动物的两个形容词long和short。作为本单元的第二课时，先从整体上了解动物园概况，学习最具有代表性的四种动物，以及描述动物的两个形容词，这为本单元后面的学习做好了铺垫，因此本课在本单元中具有基础性的作用。

二、教学目标：

1. 知识目标：(1)学习动物词汇wolf ,tiger ,bear, snake; (2)学习描述动物特征的词汇long , short. (3)会唱英语歌：Big and Small

2. 能力目标：(1)学生能够听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇： wolf ,tiger ,bear, snake;认识并能听、说long,short. (2)学生能唱歌曲：Big and Small (3)能够在真实情境中运用本课所学知识与人交流。 3. 情感目标：

(1)保持学生持久的英语学习兴趣。 (2)教育学生热爱大自然，保护动物。

4.学习策略目标：

创设情景，创造语言实践机会，引导学生自主学习、合作学习。

三、教学重点：wolf ,tiger ,bear, snake, long, short 四、教学难点：能够用所学单词描述动物特征，初步认识is, are的用法。

五、教学准备：动物玩偶，动物卡片，自制幻灯片，尺子，铅笔。

六、教学过程：

Step1: Warming-up 1. Greetings and Free Talk 1) T: Hello! Boys and girls. Ss: Hello! Ms Zhou. Step2: Presentation 1.Lead in：(创设新情境）

T: I’m very happy. Are you happy? Ss: Yes, I’m happy. T: Okay. Let’s go to the zoo. Let’s learn more animals at the zoo.）

1）Watch a video T:Let’s watch a video. T:What can you see in the video? S:horse,bird,duck T:Let’s know more animals. New words: T: Look, this is a zoo. Listen carefully, who is coming? (大屏幕上呈现动物园的图片，让学生认真听老虎咆哮的声音，自然引出词汇tiger)教学tiger。T: The tiger is big. It’s brown. It has a long tail.呈现两只老虎的图片，引出老虎的复数形式tigers，并领读。

2）T: (电脑屏幕上呈现“熊”的一部分，让学生去猜测)， Who lives here?引出bear，教学bear。T: The bear is fat. It’s black. It has a short tail.呈现多只熊的图片，引出熊的复数形式bears，并领读。

3）T:（呈现“狼”的图片），教师问Look carefully, What is it?引出wolf) It's black. It has a long tail. I'm afraid of it. It always eat small animals .呈现多只狼的图片，引出狼的复数形式wolves，并领读。（注意指导学生正确的读--唇齿音f和v）

4）(电脑屏幕上呈现“蛇”的谜语，让学生去猜测， What is it?引出snake)。呈现两只蛇的图片，引出蛇的复数

形式snakes，并领读。
