2018.9.26 I. Teaching contents：

The revision of the words and phrases in Unit 4 II. Analysis of the teaching material: The main topic of Unit 4 is Earthquake. This period mainly reviews some important words and phrases in this unit . By reviewing the usages of these important words and phrases in this unit, enable students to master how to use them correctly.

Ⅲ.Analysis of the students:

Class Six is the key class of Art students .The number of students in this class is 45. In the last English examination, the average score of Class Six was around 47 points, and only 9 students got the score of over 72. Only 3 students got over 96 points. The lowest score was 21. The scores that most students got are from 20 points to 60 points. That’s to say, most students in this class do poor in English, However, they show positive attitude towards learning English.

Ⅳ.Teaching aims：

Knowledge aims: Let students review the words and phrases of this unit, especially enable them to master the usages of some important words and expressions of this unit ,such as sincerely, destroy, rescue ,earthquake, shelter, damage, shocked, extremely, judge, injure ,frighten, congratulation, right away, at an end, in ruins, dig out, a (great) number of, be trapped in, be buried in, as if, ect.

Ability aims: Enable students to learn how to use those important words and phrases correctly and flexibly .

Emotion aims: 1. Develop students’ sense of group cooperation and teamwork.

2. Let students to find out the pleasure of words revision by playing some games.

Step1. Lead—in: Watch a video and answer the questions Q1: What happened in the video? Q2: What caused them? (设计意图：通过观看今年8月31号在莲花往广州方向由于暴雨引起的山体滑坡视频导入，进而拓展自然灾害，由此过渡衔接到本节课复习主题——地震) Step2: Review the main idea of A Night The Earth Didn’t Sleep The whole class read the main idea by yourself, then try to underline the words and phrases of this unit.

A Horrible Earthquake A terrible earthquake hit Tangshan on July 28, 1976.，in which thousands of people died and a great number of people were injured.

Strange things happened before the earthquake. But no one judged that an earthquake was coming. Suddenly, everything shook. The whole city was completely destroyed and it seemed as if the world was at an end. The whole nation was shocked by the damage

and the victim’s extreme

suffering. Luckily, the government organized a lot of people to help the victims right away. The injured were rescued and the dead were buried. The frightened

survivors who were trapped in the

ruins were dug out s and offered shelter, fresh water and electricity were taken to the city. Slowly，the city began to breathe again. (设计意图：复习本单元阅读课的主旨大意，让学生边读边画出本单元词汇，复***意的同时检查学生对本单元词汇的熟悉程度)

Game 3: 抢红包赚积分

Finish all the exercises. Then each group choose one red envelope and finish all the exercises. 1.用所给词正确形式或中文提示填空

(设计意图：复习的目的是为了运用，根据复习内容，在复习完单词短语后，设置了与高考考点接轨的单句填空，单句改错及单句翻译，所有设置的题目均以自然灾害有关，借此巩固考点的同时让学生熟悉描绘自然灾害的句子，此环节为小组抢答环节，每组抢答题目设置成不同题型，各个小组都有机会接触不同题型。)

Game 4:

谁是最佳小记者

Each group discusses and writes down a short composition according to the following tips together, then one group leader shows us their composition, and other groups try to find out its errors and correct them.

假如你是China

Daily的一名记者，负责报道本月16号台风“山竹”（Typhoon Mongkhut）的受灾情况。请根据以下提示，用英语写一篇60词左右的短文。

1.9月16号，

可怕的台风“山竹”在广东登陆，造成了2人死亡，多人受伤。(land) 2.在此期间，广东多地下起了暴雨。

2.大树开始摇晃，甚至有些大树被大风刮倒，似乎到了世界末日；

3.此次台风造成了巨大损失，许多受影响地区没水没电。(disaster-hit area) 5.马上政府给受灾人民运来了食品和饮用水；(be taken to)

注意：

1.尽量多地使用本单元的单词和短语；

2．可适当增加细节和连词。

(设计意图：微写作通过理论联系生活，让学习熟悉了自然灾害描述后，能够举一反三，提高知识迁移能力！微写作完成后展示学生作品，其它小组进行改错，提高学生写作能力的同时也提高学生改错能力)

A terrible Typhoon Mangkhut hit Guangdong on Sept. 16,in which two people died and a great number of people were injured. During the period, it was raining heavily in many areas . Trees began to shake , ever some of which were blown down by the strong wind. It seemed as if the world was at an end. It is estimated that it has caused great damage. Additionally, there was no water or electricity in many disaster-hit areas . Luckily, with the help of the government, food and fresh water were taken to the people right away. Slowly，all the disaster areas began to breathe again.
