Words about wildlife protection Situation: because of human activities over-hunting 过度捕猎

decrease/on the decrease减少

endangered animals 濒危动物

in danger of disappearing处在消失的危险中

die out/extinct/extinction灭绝

destroy their habitat 破坏栖息地

water pollution 水域污染

They are being killed for their meat/horns/fur/ivory... What worries us is that the number of them is decreasing. Measures:

protect them from being hunted stop over-hunting

reduce water pollution build more nature reserves/parks 修建更多自然保护区/公园

conservation保护，保存

It's high time that we should call on people to protect them. Not only should we raise people's awareness of wildlife protection but also pass a series of laws and put them into effect.

We are making every effort to help and protect them. Only by working together can we build a more harmonious world.

Distribution: live in the Yangtze River Description: no dorsal fin 无背鳍

1.5m in length. 30-40kg in weight. Situation: Their number has dropped to less than 1000.
