The topic of this unit is Sailing the oceans. The aim is to revise words, phrases as well as sentence patterns such as “only+状从, once + 状从”.

Although students may be familiar with the words and phrases in this unit, many of them have some difficulties in using these patterns. 1. To master the important words and phrases. 2. To enable students to use the sentence patterns. 3. To improve students’ reading ability.

Importances: To master important words and phrases.

Difficulties: To master the difficult sentence patterns.

Ⅰ.Revision

1. Ask some of the students to read the words and phrases of last unit.
