本课的授课对象是二年级学生,本单元中,他们已经学习了一些与形状相关的单词:square,circle,triangle等,在前三课已经掌握了一点相关句型的表达,学生对学习英语充满了兴趣,教师在课堂上需提供给使用英语进行交际的机会。

本课使用多媒体教室进行教学,丰富多样的游戏活动,TPR教学既增添了学生浓厚的学习兴趣,又为情境教学提供了帮助。

Teaching procedure教学流程: Step I.Warming-up热身复习
创设情境:Today,I have a new friend to show you, look,this is my friend,monkey.It wants to eat some bananas,but the banana tree is so far, If you can help the monkey finish 8 tasks, the monkey can get the bananas, can you help my friends. 1.
Sing a song:
Shapes ( 唱英文歌《Shapes》,配合肢体动作,目的在于营造一个轻松愉快的英语学习氛围,复习了之前所学的知识,并引入新知识为下文的教学做铺垫。)

Revision:
1.Guessing game: Say it quickly? 使用PPT 设置单词播放顺序让学生一一快速复习单词和图形:cake, ball, clock, square,triangle,circle让学生回忆并很快说出其名称。每次答对问题的小组,在黑板上爬旗格子作为奖励。课后爬的最快的小组可得最终奖励。

Look and say: What do you see? How many circles do you see in the picture? 给出一幅图片让学生观察,并回答以上两个问题,可以稍给提示,让学生回忆之前学习的句型。
Step II. Presentation 呈现新知

新单词oval的呈现:T: boys and girls,look here, Is it a circle? Ss:,Yes it’s.设置PPT让一个圆慢慢转变成一个椭圆,让学生观看这一过程,感受图形之间相互转化的过程,T: Now,Is it a circle? Ss: No,...T: Who can tell me, what shape is this? 观察学生中是否有同学会读oval, 之后播放单词听力,锻炼学生听音的能力。然后新授oval,教读两次,TPR教学,板书,然后提问:what shape is this?尝试让学生回答:It’s an oval.(把单词放在句子里,在句子中练习单词)。在这里要区分(a/ an√)

新授单词egg:继续观察a. PPT出示一一张鸡蛋图片作为参考,T: What is this?Ss :It is (an )egg. 追问T:what shape is this?引导学生回答
It is an oval.然后练习此句型

Let’s practice:使用PPT播放生活中椭圆形的物品,教师指导学生练习句型What shape is this? It's an oval./It's in the shape of an oval./The ..is in the shape of an oval.
4.Pair work:同时出示更多的生活中的图形物品,让学生分小组自己讨论并练习句型What shape is this? It's an ..../It's in the shape of an ..../The ..is in the shape of an ....

Oval ! Step III. Consolidation.(巩固练习)

练习朗读课本文本, PPT出示课本原文,播放听力,让学生先听,教师指导学生在听的时候要注意语音语调,T:Now,first,let’s listen to the video,and then Let’s read it together group by group. 待学生听完录音后,让学生模仿跟读,然后分小组活动,合作读书。

T:open our book, Let’s listen and match.,Look,here we have ....示意学生读出:circle,oval,
triangle,square.做听力练习前准备。

Let’s watch and say :PPT出示一幅房间的图片,里面有各种图形物品T:示范
Look ,this is a photo frame,I can say,I see a photo frame. It is in the shape of square.让学生观察讨论用句型来描述看到的( 此活动目的在于练习学生的表达能力,小组讨论多点口语交流练习时间,同时培养学生的团队合作意识。) 4.
What happen? 设置PPT运用数学图形设计出一幅图片,通过观察图片的变化拼凑,让学生感受英语学习和生活的紧密联系,知识在不同学科中的相互融合。T:look,When the shapes moving, Then can make up a new things,Let’s look at the picture,what can you see?让学生拿出昨天的课后作业,用数学图形拼出一幅作品。然后给出例句:...is in the shape of.... /It is in the shape of ....,It has ....小组交流学习,巩固已经学习的单词或句型。
