PPT shows a video about American football. T asks Ss to watch the video and ask what they know about American Football. T: I’d like share a video about American football with you.

(1) PPT shows the cover of Children’s Sports Magazine. T tells

Ss the magazine wants for personal recounts of “Children Ball Stars”.

T: Do you know why I know so many things about American football? Because I find the information from this magazine. T: Children’s Sports Magazine wants for some personal recounts for “Children Ball Stars”.

(2) PPT shows four Children Ball Stars’ names and four pictures of balls. T asks Ss to listen to the record and match the names and the balls. T: Here is the last edition. Let’s listen and find out what it is talking about.

7. Speaking and reading

PPT shows some pictures. T asks Ss to finish the personal recounts of Mike. Then T asks Ss to read his recount. T: This is Mike’s personal recount. Can you act Mike?

9. Choosing, filling and reading

PPT shows other two personal recounts of Yin Fong and Wendy and some words are given for Ss to choose. T asks Ss in G1&2 to finish writing the personal recount of Yin Fong and Ss in G3&4 to finish writing Wendy’s.

T: There are two other personal recounts. Can you finish them? G1&2 please act Yin Fong. G3&4 please act Wendy. Some words are given.

10. Conclusion

PPT shows the personal recounts of Yin Fong and Wendy. T asks Ss to conclude how to write a personal recount. T: Do you know how to write a personal recount?

11. Writing a personal recount

T asks Ss to write a personal recount. Before that, T gives an example. Then T tells Ss if they can finish the one with some words, they can get three stars. If they can finish the one with less words, they can get four stars. If they can finish the one without words, they can get five stars. T: Now, can you write your own personal recount? This is my personal recount.
