LEAD-IN

Play a song A TURE STORY to convey a message to students that we should protect the wildlife like the girl in the song .

WARMING-UP Show a picture of giant panda to let students know it is smaller in number.Introduce a new word ENDANGERED .Ask students to give endangered animals a definition using attributive clause. Then ask students what other endangered animals do you know in china ？

Show the pictures of some animals which are dying out to remind boys and girls.

PRE-READING Ask class three questions WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE ANIMALS？WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM? WHY ARE THEY IN DANGER OF DISAPPEARING？They have some time to discuss in groups.
