Unit 1 How tall are you? C Story time教学设计

PEP小学英语教材，在每个单元末都安排了一则与本单元教学内容相关的故事。通过认真研读发现Story time 是一个可教点。这部分素材都与小学生的生活息息相关，符合学生的认知能力，是对一个单元中语言知识的综合运用与拓展。每个故事教学都能充分调动学生的积极性，有效地排除怕说英语的障碍，提高语言综合运用能力，从而提高学习效果。本课是PEP英语六年级上册

Unit 1 《How tall are you?》

C Story time部分，本单元主要学习句型How tall are you? How heavy are you?等句型。这一故事教学的目的是让学生在阅读中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识。通过对单元知识的巩固，读懂故事，理解并能表演故事，且得以有效拓展。

【课程标准】: 二级目标要求：

1、听：能听懂简单的配图小故事

2、说：能在教师的帮助下讲述小故事

3、读：能借助图片读懂简单的故事

4、玩演视听:能在教师的帮助下表演小故事

【学习目标】：

根据《义教英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述，结合本单元的教材内容，预设本课时的学习目标。

一、知识目标：

A．

1、重点词汇

:goalkeeper,catch the ball, neck, excellent, teamwork等。

2、重点句型: 基础句型How tall are you? How heavy are you?

He’s ___ taller than ____.等等。

3、难点句型：Football needs teamwork. He’s almost bigger than the goal. B.读懂故事，逐步理解，能表演故事。

C.能够准确使用How tall are you? How heavy are you? 二、能力目标：

1、

培养学生养成良好的“听”的习惯。

2、

培养学生自主学习、合作学习的能力。

3、培养学生运用英语的交际、交流能力。

培养学生对生活的热爱，积极的生活态度。

【教学过程】

Step One：

Warming- up 1、Greetings and free talk. T: how tall are you ? Ss:I’m __meters ./ I’m ___meters

T: who is taller ? Ss : She/he is taller than her/him. T: How heavy are you ? Ss: I’m ___ kilograms./I’m __kilograms. T: Who is heavier? Ss: She /He is heavier than her/him. Step two : Presentation

2. T: this is Zoom,this is Zip ,they need a goalkeeper .Who will be the best goalkeeper. Can you guess? Ss1: Ss2: 3.show picture 2 （1)、Listen to the story, then answer the question. They are talking about ______

T: Yes, they are talking about the goalkeeper.

All the animals want to be the goalkeeper,who will win ?The deer?the zebra?the giraffe?the dog? or the hippo? Ok, let’s go on . 4.show picture 3 Read picture 1 and 2,then answer the questions. T:

How tall is Mr Deer?

Ss:

He is 1.8 metres. T:

How heavy is Mr Deer?

Ss:

He is 86 kilograms. T:what does Mr.deer say ? can you read ? Ss1:

Ss2: T: Is Mr.deer the best goalkeeper ? Let’s go on . 4.show picture 3-4 Read by youself and think about : who is better than

Mr.deer? Ss read for 5 minutes and then answer

Ss:Mr.zebra

T:why? Why is Mr.zebra better than Mr.deer? Ss: Mr.zebra is taller than Mr.deer Ss:he is heavier than Mr.deer, T:Is Mr. zebra the best goalkeeper?

Ss:No. T:why ? Ss: because he can’t catch the ball. T:yes ,you are right ,he can’t catch the ball,so he isn’t suitable.but don’t worry ,Mr. giraffe comes ,we know he is the tallest one ,maybe he is the best goalkeeper. Read part 4and answer ,is he suitable? Ss read for 3minutes and answer

Ss: he isn’t the best one

T:why he isn’t the best goalkeeper ? Ss:his neck is too long ,the others can’t reach him ,football needs teamwork. 5、T:oh ,the hippo comes ,how about the hippo ? please picture 5 and 6,and think about the

question :who has become the goalkeeper at last? Ss read this part for 3minutes and then answer .In this course ,try to make the Ss read the simple sentences ,in order to base the knowledge. 6、listen to the whole story again . 7、retell the story . 8、see a film : extension：teamwork is very important .

9、homework :

(1)Listen and imitate the story. (2) Role play the story with your friends.
