Unit 1 How tall are you read and write 教学目标：1.知识目标：能听、说、认读单词countryside,lower,shadow,smarter,become;能读懂Read and write 部分的短文内容，并完成相应的练习。

能力目标：培养学生的阅读能力和理解能力。

情感目标：培养学生勇于探究、追求真理的精神。

教学重点：能读懂和理解Read and write 部分的内容。

教学难点：能了解影子变化的原因。

教学准备：单词卡片、教学课件、人物头像

教学过程：

Step 1 Warm-up & revision 1.Greeting: 2.Revision :Speak out the words as quickly as you can. （longer、

heavier etc.）

Step 2 Presentation &practice 1.通过复习比较级单词、导出新的比较级单词brighter 、clearer及句子The sky is clearer.The sun is brighter.询问Which season is it?—Spring. 2.激活话题Spring is coming .Can you think of any other changes? 3.导出Wu Yi fan and his family are going on a trip to the countryside,Wu Yi fan has a story to tell Robin.学习go on a trip =take a trip,countryside=village

3.呈现故事图片，猜猜故事是关于什么的？导出人物：Little Duck 、Old Tree. 4.观察说说How do they feel?Old Tree is happy,but Little Duck is confused,Why?引出Little Duck `s question.听录音找出小鸭子的疑问。

5.根据PPT逐步理解read and write。

<1>出示小鸭子看着日落，影子变得越来越长的动画，说:Litte duck is watching the sun go down.The sun is getting lower and lower,but his shadow is getting longer and longer.学习shadow,lower and lower ,longer and longer,并提出问题Why is that? <2>If you are Little duck ,What can you do?----asks friends.对比小鸭子和老树：Who is taller/stronger/older/smarter?导出小鸭子询问老树的话并学习。

<3>Can Old Tree answer Little Duck`s question?导出老树的回答That`s easy.并将老树给出的答案分为3个理由：1.We grow older everyday.2.You are growing taller.3.You are becoming a big beautiful bird. 6.思考Do you agree with Old Tree?带着问题，朗读故事，然后根据板书复述故事。

7.Think and discuss.<1>Make a title.鼓励学生可以想出不同的标题

<2>回答探究练习

8.Role play the story and perform it. 9.Discuss:Do you agree with Old Tree?What`s your answer?学生分享了自己的想法后，老师给出自己的答案，并鼓励学生敢于质疑.

Step3 Homework 1.

Share the story with your friends. 2.Try to find out the answer of Little duck`s question by yourself. 3.Use your imagination to white what will happen next.
