Analysis of the teaching materials

In Module 7 unit 4, the topic of this unit is sharing. In this period, students will first be encouraged to talk about how to sharing good things and help people in need after reading this article. The teacher designs some class activities to input some related words and guide the students to use necessary reading skills while reading. And through group work the students can complete the reading tasks and improve their reading ability.

Analysis of the students

As students in Senior Two, they have had basic knowledge about how to get the main idea and how to get the specific information . The reason why some students are not good at expressing themselves in English is that they are lacking in enough vocabulary. So if they are offered the related words and phrased about certain topic, it will be less difficult. With the teacher’s guidance, encouragement and the partner’s help, students in different levels are supposed to perform better.
