Yuan Longping, the father of hybrid rice, is one of China’s most famous scientists. After graduating from Southwest agricultural college, finding ways to grow more rice has been his life goal. Having struggled for the past five decades, he succeeded in growing super hybrid rice. Thanks to his research, ridding the world of hunger is no more a dream.

Yuan Longping is quite satisfied with his life. However, he doesn’t care about being famous. In addition to doing his research, he enjoys listening to violin music, playing mah-jong, swimming and reading. Spending money on himself or leading a comfortable life also means very little to him. Actually, he believes that dreaming for things costs nothing. He inspires those who devote themselves to achieving dreams.

把真正的主语V-ing形式放在句尾，如：It’s + no good(no use/fun/a pleasure/a waste of time. . . ) + doing. . . 2.

V-ing 形式放在______词和______ 词后面做_______语。有些动词后面常跟V-ing 做宾语，如课前练习1。
