一、学情分析：三年级学生天真可爱，活泼好动。他们在一个学期的英语学习中积累了部分句子和单词，并对英语学习产生了浓厚的兴趣。在本节课内容之前，学生已经学过一些表示动物名称和描述动物外貌特征的词汇，他们还接触过What’s this? Is it a ___? It’s _____.句型。这些知识都可以充实本节课的教学内容。

二、教材分析：本课是冀教版《学英语》（三年级起点）三年级下册Unit 2 Lesson 8 Tigers and Bears

主要内容为新词汇：tiger, wolf, bear, snake，long, short 句子为

It’s long. It’s short. 本课以前面的知识为基础，让学生学会新的词汇，提高听说技能，学生学习谈论动物。

三、教学目标：

1.知识方面：学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇：tiger, bear, long. Short。学生能认读、理解并使用下列句式：It’s long. It’s short.

2.能力方面：学生能唱歌曲：Big and Small 。能谈论一些野生动物的特征。

3.情感态度和价值观：通过唱歌，说歌谣，做游戏等多种形式激发学生学习兴趣。通过两人一组活动，加强学生的合作意识。

四、教学重点：tiger, bear, long. short单词的认读及掌握句式

It’s long. It’s short.的使用和掌握。

五、教学难点：能唱歌曲：Big and small. 能描述一些动物的特征。

六、教具准备：教学光盘，词汇卡片

，动物卡片，教学课件。

八、教学过程：

Step 1 Class Opening and review 1.问候

教师问候学生，拉近和学生的距离。

T: Good afternoon！Boys and girls

S:Good afternoon！

Miss Wang. T: Do you like animals? Today we will go the zoo. We will learn more animals. Tigers and bears.(揭示课题)

2.歌曲热身

T:First, let’s listen to a song. 教师播放本课歌曲Big and Small

[设计意图] 通过歌曲调动学生学习兴趣，使其尽快进入英语学习的氛围中。

T: Now, are you happy?

Yes, I’m

happy ,too.

T: Let’s review what we learned last lesson. What’s this? It’s a zoo.

What’s this?

It’s a panda. Is it fat or thin? What colour is it?(同样方式复习panda, monkey ,elephant) Step II New Concepts (27minutes) 1、Today we will learn more animals at the zoo. We will learn how to

talk about them. Look . what’s this? It’s a tiger.(教师教学生拼读tiger,板书tiger 让学生跟读)讨论：Is it big? What colour is it? (同样方式教学

wolf , bear, snake. 教师要运用所学过的句子What’s this? Is this a ___? Is it fat/thin/big/small? What color is it?引导学生对知识的迁移。在练读单词过程中评价。) 听录音，跟读。再指名读单词。

Let’s chant.说歌谣。巩固单词。

[设计意图]通过歌谣，把新授单词及描述其特征的形容词合理的组合在一起。既巩固了新知，又完成了新旧知识的衔接和整合。

做游戏Race and do(动作比赛（)几个同学到前面来，教师说动物名称，学生指，看谁又对又快。）然后，教师指，学生说动物的名称。

[设计意图] 通过游戏和操练，让学生加深对上面词汇的学习和掌握。

2、T: Is a bear big? Is a bird big or small?

Is a tiger big or small?

A cat?

Now let’s learn the song we listened just now.播放两遍，第一遍让学生听，第二遍，学生起立唱歌曲，并用手势表明大和小的概念。

3、看课件，手指这两条蛇，T: Long. It’s long. Short. It’s short.（教师读long, short 学生跟读）

用线段演示长和短的概念。（让自告奋勇者到教室前面来演示长和短的概念并运用句子It’s long.

It’s short.）

T：Li Ming and Jenny are at the zoo . What are they looking at? Let’s listen to the tape.听一遍，跟读一遍。

Pair work, please.同桌两人分角色练习对话，并展示练习效果。

[设计意图]分角色朗读可以提高学生朗读课文的兴趣，可以求助，并学会积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务。

4、Let’s play.

T: Do you want to play a game? 解释游戏玩法。一名学生不能看图卡，其他学生提供线索帮他猜测谈论的动物是什么？让一名自告奋勇者到前面来。

Monkey: It’s thin.

It’s brown. Its tail is long.

Tiger:

It’s big. It’s orange ,white and black. It’s tail is long.

Wolf:

It is grey. It looks like a dog. Bear : It is big . It is black.

Polar bear is white. Snake : It is long. It has no fur. [设计意图]通过游戏加深学生对知识的理解和运用，学会谈论动物，提高学生的英语口语表达能力。

Homework: 可选择一项或两项作业。

1.学生回家听磁带并模仿跟读。

2.认真书写下列词汇：tiger, bear, long. short 3.画出自己喜欢的动物，并尝试用英语描述。
