Book 2 Unit3 Computer Learning about language Analysis of the teaching material

This teaching period mainly deals with the important words and phrases. How to let the students understand and master the usage of these new words by reading the text on the given topic is what I am always striving for. Analysis of the students

Students often find it boring and difficult to learn some words, so it is necessary to make the class interesting by connecting the class with their daily life or something they are interested in.

A Story of Computer Development

In this part, I designed some exercises based on a story for each group. After finishing each group of exercises, they are required to conclude the usage of some important words and phrases. In order to make the learning process more vivid and interesting, I use a story adapted from the article Who Am I, in Unit3, Book2 to present the target words and phrases. Students can understand the target language,and at the same time they can realize some knowledge about computer development.

From then on, I grew rapidly both in size and in brainpower. By 1940s, I had grown as large as a room. As time went by, I became smaller and smaller. First as a PC (personal computer) and then as a laptop. In the early 1960s, they gave me a family connected by a network and since 1970s, I have been used in offices and homes.

Based on the given example, students work in groups to write some sentences to express their resolution for GaoKao using the target vocabulary we have learned in this class. Later a member comes to the front to read their description and we will check their description together. Use one new word, they will get one point. Step Ⅴ
