Verbs which are followed by to do Teaching aids: Project, PPT, blackboard Teaching procedures: Step 1: Greetings between T and Ss Step 2: Lead-in

Students talk about what they would like to do after class and T uses a sentence to express their opinions and leads to the grammar. (Playing basketball is my hobby.) Step 3: learn the grammar

T guides ss to analyze the sentence structure and learn the knowledge about the -ing form as subject. Step 4: Practice

Ss use the knowledge to translate some sentences. Step 5: Students learn the special points.

T guides ss to find out the characteristics of these sentences and leads to the special point- it as formal subject. Step 6: T uses the former examples to lead to -ing as object.

Playing basketball is my hobby.

I enjoy playing basketball.

I want to play basketball. Step 7: Ss find out the forms of verbs as object ---to do and doing Step 8: Ss learn the verbs that are followed by doing and T gives some examples

to help ss understand. Step 9: Ss learn the verbs that are followed by to do. Step 10 Ss learn the verbs that are followed by both -ing and to do. Step 11: Practice
