Step I. Lead-in ---Talking

1.What is IT？

(Information Technology) 2.Can you tell some ITs ？( students share their answers) 3.Look at the pictures .What do you think these robots can do according to their appearance? (play guitar, play sports, read books and write,sing songs, do house work.) 4.Write “robot” and “android” on the board, and explain the difference.

( Android is a robot that looks completely human. Some robots don’t look human. )

Ask several students to share their ideas with us. Step IV.Writing

Now create your own android. Use your imagination and be creative. Draw a picture of it and fill in the file on 23. Then compare with your partner.

Read the sample passage on page 24 and think about how to describe your android and what you should pay more attention to to make your writing more beautiful and attractive. 3.

Offer some useful expressions and a sample to stimulate them 4.Then get students to write a description of the android they draw.

Step V. Homework Write a description of your android and what it can do. You need to make your writing as logical and beautiful as possible.
