Lesson 7

Teaching aims :

1.Develop the students' abilities of learning and speaking .

2.Train the students' abilities of independent thinking and cooperating.

3.Arouse the students' interest in English .

Teaching important and difficult points:

1.Put the expressions into practical situation .

2.Master the sentences : I'm in Class One. Pleased to meet you . Teaching method : Task-based language teaching methods .

Teaching aids : cards , the tape recorder ,PPT.

Teaching procedure :

Step 1.Warm up

①Play a game.(Teacher say “1”, students show their right hand . Teacher say “2”,students show their left hand. The best group will get the prize.)

②Free talk .(Greet to others with learned knowledge.)

Step2.Presentation

①Learn the new words.

A.Show the new words :one. (First,spell it . Then ,read it . Last,write it.)

B.Show the sentence:I'm in Class One.(Ask students to practice one by one)

C.Learn “Two ”and “Three”

D.Game time : Quick response(Teacher show the PPT, students race to be the first to answer question. The best one will be prized.)

②Learn the new sentences.

A.Teacher introduce himself and ask student “What's your name?”, then introduce the new student Sarah . Sarah will greet to others “Hi ! My name's Sarah . I'm in Class Two.”

B.Show the sentences “My name's...= I'm ...”and ask students to practice them .

C.Listen and say .(Ask students to talk about the picture and try to speak the sentences. Then,ask someone to show the dialogue.)

D.Let's talk .(Learn the dialogue .)

Step3.Practice

①Read the dialogue follow the teacher .Then read the dialogue in groups ,then in pairs.Last ask someone to show the dialogue in class,then exchange the role.

②Guide the students to make some new dialogues,like this :

---Hi, I'm ... . I'm in Class ... .

---Hello, my name's ... . I'm in Class ... .

---Pleased to meet you .

---Pleased to meet you,too .

③Game time : Introduce yourself .

Ask students to greet others from the first to the last in groups, which group finish the dialogue the most quickly ,they will be prized .The following must be used :

---What's your name ?

---My name's / I'm ...

--- I'm in Class ...

---Pleased / Nice to meet you .

Step4.Summary

Guide students to review the new words and new sentences.

Step5. Homework

①Make a new dialogue in pairs.

②Go over all the words and sentences in this lesson by heart . ③Finish off the practice on the workbooks.
