知识目标：识记并理解与本课相关的单词和短语，掌握基本用法；了解人类早期航海技术和基本的航海仪器，开拓学生视野；掌握说明文语言特点，尝试实践应用。 ②

能力目标：培养学生通过标题获取中心信息的能力；通过读写结合的教学，增大学生语言输入，增强其语言输出能力，培养学生尝试用说明文的语言进行微写作（概要写作）的能力。 ③

情感目标：开拓学生视野，激发探险兴趣，进而培养学生向古人学习，困难面前不畏惧，敢于探险、敢于创新的精神。 ⑸

教学重难点分析 重点：通过任务型阅读提高学生获取信息的能力

难点：词汇的学习，因为本节课中涉及的词汇较为生僻，易于对学生的阅读制造障碍，所以要加大词汇的学习；

教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up and lead-in 1. 师生互致问候 2. 观看电影片段，引出单元话题 师生互致问候之后，教师问学生：Do you like seeing films? 然后教师给出“看电影”之后的任务：What is about the film? 3. 教师播放电影片段，并让学生回答问题。 4. 通过郑和，引出其他航海家，使学生对古代航海家有一个基本的了解。 Step 2 Word--study 1. 呈现PPT，引入并学习词汇 学习与本节课相关的词汇，如：compass, longitude等。 2. 以领读的形式学习和巩固新单词。 Step 3 Pre-reading

1. 教师陈述问题：In ancient times, It’s difficult for seamen to sail the oceans, how do you think seamen found their way? What instruments did they use in the sailing? 2. 学生回答问题。

Step 4 Skimming 教师要求学生快速扫视文章，判断文章体裁和文章组织结构，并设计出相应的问题，以检验学生是否能完成目标。

2. 给学生提出写作的具体注意事项： ① Pay attention to how to start a summary: ② You just write the main points and leave out the detailed information. ③ Your language should be concise, accurate and vivid if possible ④ Please use some conjunctions to make your summary more natural. 2.

让学生利用思维导图，进行概要写作，训练学生的写作思维。 4. 写作结束之后，同学互批，老师点评。 Step 8 Homework 1.

Read the passage again to further understand the passage. 2. Polish your micro-writing again. 3. Each group choose a situation of Exercise 3 in “Comprehending ” to finish it ,next period we’ll check and share your answers.
