一、教学目标：

1. Target language: key words and phrases

Learn about the knowledge of prefix and suffix when helping students to memorize the target language in this class.. 2. Teaching difficult points:

四、教学过程:

Step1: Warming up and revision

Show the target language on the computer, and let them read after the teacher. 设计意图：热身与复习部分是为了让学生为本节课的目标词汇学习打好基础。

Step2: A competition

1. Ask one student in each group to come to the blackboard and face the whole class without seeing the words and phrases played by the teacher on the computer. During this process, they should guess the words and phrases out by the tips of one student in another group who stands in his seat by saying something about them or just by doing some gestures about them. Whichever group can get one point if the representative can guess out one of them or made it guessed out. 2. The words to be guessed on the computer are as followings: goal, calculate, simplify, sum, technology, electronic, chip, tube, revolution, artificial, intelligence, arise, appearance, totally, download, web, network, mobile, signal, solve, type, logical, operator, coach, rocket, explore, android, character, mop, naughty, niece, anyhow, happiness, virus, reality, personally, universal, application, finance, with the help of, from...on, human race, watch over, so…that…, deal with, as a result, in a way 设计意图：通过小组讨论竞赛猜单词的活动，让学生对本节课的词汇学习感到有兴趣，尽可能地调动起学生学习的积极性，同时也旨在培养学生合作学习的能力。

设计意图：此环节教师通过演示的方式做了某些词汇拓展的练习讲解，旨在教会学生通过前后缀的方式记忆更多的词汇。

Step6: Reading aloud and translation Read the following passage aloud after the teacher and try to translate it into Chinese.

Computers

The goal of early calculating machines was to simplify difficult sums. But with the help of

new technology, electronic chips replaced tubes and a revolution of artificial intelligence has arisen. From then on, the appearance of computers totally changed our lives. They can not only download information from the web when connected by the network or mobile phone signals, but also solve different types of logical problems. With operators as their coaches, they can even control rockets to explore the moon and instruct androids with the human race’s characters to mop floors and watch over your naughty niece. Anyhow, computers are so helpful that they do bring happiness.

However, computers are easily attacked by viruses. This reality has become a hard-to-deal with-problem. As a result, computers are dangerous in a way. So, personally, I worry about their universal applications in some fields, such as finance.

设计意图：这篇涵盖了本节课的47个目标词汇的文章是校本教材里的内容，通过让学生朗读和翻译理解的方式旨在教会学生通过语境来更好地记住这些目标词汇。

Step7: Homework Memorize the target language in this class and prepare for a dictation in the next class. 设计意图：本节课的课后作业是要求学生记住这节课的47个目标词汇。听写是为了检测学

生记忆的效果和再次让学生接触目标词汇，反复出现目标词汇有利于学生记忆。
