教学内容分析Analysis of the text （一）知识背景Knowledge background The main topic of this unit is friendship. After the former periods of study, the last period is about a letter of advice. Xiao Dong wrote a letter to the editor for advice on how to making friends with his classmates. So the writing task is concerning how to give advice. As we know, writing plays an important part in English test, which makes up 25 points in the paper. What’s more, the letter of advice is an important topic in writing ability test. （二）

Teaching aims 1.To get the students to know the form of advice letter. (知识)

2.Enhance the students’ writing ability. 3.Produce a passage through process training. 4.Use what we learn to write correct sentences..

1、知识技能

advise---advice To conclude some key words, phrases, sentences and writing patterns about giving advice.

To improve students’ writing ability and can obtain some expressions on giving advice.

The key points of this period is proper use of expressions of the letter of advice. To cultivate students English writing skills and can give advice properly. 2、让学生对写英语建议信有个清晰的写作提纲

具体教学步骤：

Detailed teaching steps Step1.导入（Lead-in）这一步骤的重点在于激发学生的兴趣活动方式：师生互动教师提问：In this unit, we have talked a lot about friendship. In our life, all of us have friends, if our friends encounter difficulties, do you know how to give advice? 学生的答案会有Yes or No.再问：Do you want to master some knowledge on giving advice to your friends? 最后指出今天新学内容是The letter of advice Step 2.Introduction of advice letter writing The letter of advice belongs to half-open writing. In general, it is divided into three parts, this is, beginning—body---ending. State your purpose of writing this letter in the first paragraph. Then try to give three or four proposals in the body part. Pay attention to your expression tone while giving advice. Finally, express wishes in the last paragraph. 

合理安排建议信的内容结构



建议信一般采取三段式结构：

首段：感谢对方对自己的信任，亦可表明自己的意图。主体：围绕对方的困惑，烦恼等问题，用委婉的语言提出自己的建议及解决方法。注意要充分考虑到对方的实际问题，表达时应选择得体的语言，切记用语生硬呆板或泛泛而谈。结尾段：表达希望。希望自己的建议能对对方有所帮助。



掌握建议信的写作特点



语气要诚恳，有礼貌，顾及对方感受；建议内容要详尽具体，不能含糊其辞；可提供的建议通常是多个，因此要注意各个建议之间的衔接。

Step 4. Pre-writing

1.

Read the letter from a student called Xiaodong. Find out what difficulty Xiao Dong has in school. Then let students discuss in group of three how to give Xiao Dong advice. 2.

Go over the advice on page 7 and be ready for writing. idea1:to ask people their likes and dislikes

why: to find classmates with the same interests idea2:to join in discussions and show interest in other people’s ideas

why:to get to know different people and let them see you are friendly. Idea3:....... Why:....... 3.

After discussion ,let students give their advice. Then let them finish the letter with the help of Unit1 Friendship ——Writing 说课稿

the writing pattern. Dear Xiao Dong, I’m sorry you are having trouble in making friends .However, the situation is easy to change if you take my advice.Here are some tips to help you:

To begin with, why not.....,if you do this,...... In addition, you can....,then......Last but not the least, it would be a good idea if....,by doing this,....... I hope you will find these ideas useful.

Miss Wang Step 5. While-writing Ask the Ss to write a letter to Xiaodong as an editor and give him some advice. 1.

Ss make a list about the important information that they need. 2.

Ss begin to write the letter to Xiaodong. 3.

Ss revise their letters by themselves. 4.

Ss exchange their writing paper with their partners and correct the mistakes. (tense, spelling, letters, structures….)

5.

Ss get back their own writing paper and write the letter again. Step6. Post-writing

Choose some students’ writing paper and show in the class. Ask the Ss to correct the mistakes together and also learn from some good writings. Step7. Writing consolidation Let students finish the following useful sentence patterns of giving advice.

Step 5.Assignment

Finish a letter of advice by using the writing pattern on students workbook.
