[教材分析] 本单元的中心话题是火山、飓风、地震等自然灾害，reading部分是一位火山学家的自述。本课时主要针对导入和快速阅读设计，主要包括对火山的了解和认知以及快速阅读文章获取关键信息（即关于作者工作的信息）两部分，同时结合听力训练，着力提升学生的快速获取关键信息的能力。

从文章标题An Exciting Job可看出，文章内容主要包括两个部分：一是关于这份工作的介绍，二是令人激动的原因，我认为，后者是文章的重点，所以放在careful reading部分。所以在本课时，我们主要通过快速阅读，并通过思维图的方式，了解及掌握作者工作的相关信息。

[学情分析] 在上次月考中，我们成绩落后，分析原因后发现存在以下两个突出的问题：一是听力部分不能做到注意力集中，不能快速捕捉关键信息；二是阅读速度太慢，不能在很短时间内从文章中捕捉到关键的解题点。

[学习目标] 1.通过齐读和自由背记单词，我们将熟悉和掌握本堂课的重点词汇；

2.通过带任务完成听力训练，我们将训练和提升听力能力，同时了解与课文背景相关的

火山的相关信息，；

3.通过听录音完成fast reading并进行小组讨论整合答案，我们将了解和掌握文章的结构和轮廓；
