设计思路：随着高二学生能力的提升，本节课尝试整合主题语境相同的材料，即Book 3 Unit 5 Canada, Book 5 Unit 2 The United Kingdom, Book 8 Unit 1 California, and Book 9 Unit 3 Australia. 从而对本节课的语言学习课进行适当的整理结合。本节课设计三个环节：一、自由展示环节：Show what you have leart

introduce a country. 让学生自由展示在这几篇课文中所学的单词，词组并造句。二、挑战展示环节：How to introduce a place logically?让学生从这几篇课文中总结一下要从哪些方面介绍一个国家，如：location,population, weather ,natural resource, history,heritage, famous cities, activities and so on. 三、角色挑战并展示：让学生化身为导游介绍中国。

知识整合：

Materials for reciting and consulting: Book 3 Unit 5 Canada Located in the north of North America,Canadais the second largest country in the world. In the south of Canada there are the Great Lakes, through which flows the St Lawrence River, the largest river of the country. Between two of the lakes lies the Niagara Falls, one of the wonders of the world. The central part is the most densely populated area, while the people in the east live on fishing and forestry. In addition, the soil of Canadais so fertile that the wheat and the timber are exported in large quantities to other countries, which provides jobs for thousands of people.

Welcome to London. I’m Wang Lin, and I’m more than glad to be your guide. Now I’d like to tell you something about London.

As is known to all, London is the capital of Britain, which is on the bank of River Times. It’s a very big city with a population of about 7 million. It is also a busy place. People here are usually friendly and helpful, but they are often in a hurry. What impresses visitors most is that the weather is always changing. That’s why the English people always talk about the weather. London has many beautiful parks and gardens and other famous places of interest. Hyde Park is among them. It covers 140 hectares, extending westward from Park Lane to Kensington Gardens. There are roads through the park, but people can walk freely over the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Finally, I sincerely hope every one of you will enjoy yourself here.

Book 9 Unit 3 Australia Australia is the only country that is also a continent. It is the sixth largest country in the world and is in the smallest continent - Oceania. It is a mainly dry country with only a few coastal areas that have adequate rainfall to support a large population. Approximately 80 of Australians live in the south-eastern coastal area, which includes Australia's two largest cities – Melbourne and Sydney. The centre of the continent, which is mainly desert and dry grassland, has few settlements. Australia is famous for its huge, open spaces, bright sunshine, enormous number of sheep and cattle and its unusual wildlife, which include kangaroos and koalas. Australia is a popular destination with tourists from all over the world who come to experience its unique ecology.

Australia is made up of six states. Like the states in America, Australian states are autonomous in some areas of government. However, Australia has a federal government responsible for matters that affect people all over the country, such as defence, foreign policy and taxation. The federal parliament is located in Canberra.
