Analysis of Students

The class is designed for senior three students who have a basic idea of how to write an essay. When writing a compostion, some students would employ one or several writing skills randomly. However, they have not learnt those skills systematically. Therefore, it is necessary to make a conclusion of writing skills and show them how to use the skills. Meanwhile, the class also introduced the standrad of writing. 3.重点难点

Learning Important and Difficult Points:

1. Learn about the six relative skills of effective writing. 2. Understand the basic structure of writing.

3. know how to define a good essay. 4.教学过程

Step 1 Discussion

If we want to write a good essay, we need to know the standrads of writing. What makes a good essay? Discuss it in pairs. Collect answers from students. Instead of being given answers direct, students will be asked to make a conclusion by themselves at the end of class and share it with others. Introduction of writing skills

Step 2 Introduction of writing skills in the level of words

1) See two concrete examples 2) Find the rule behind the examples

3) Learn about two skills-using advanced words and fixed phrases. 6) Brainstorm to think about some synonyms. Step 3: Introduction of writing skills in the level of sentences Grasp the rules by doing exercise Skill three is to use various sentences patterns and grammar structures.
