Step I Lead in Show some pictures and sentences containing –ing as subject and object

Get Ss to pay attention to the –ing form and tell its function in each sentence . Step Ⅱ

V-ing as subject Observe the sentences and find out the rules of V-ing as subject and summarize: a. V-ing as subject b. “It” as the form subject c. Transform the sentences into V-ing as subject or “It” as the form subject Step Ⅲ

V-ing as object 1) Observe the sentences and find out the rules of V-ing as subject 2) List out more verbs and phrases that followed by-ing 3) Exercise about –ing as the object Step IV Practice Task 1 Pair work: Complete the sentences according to the Chinese meanings.
