一、教学内容分析

本单元以机器人和科幻小说为话题，介绍了20世纪世界知名的科幻小说家Isaac Asimov写于1951的Satisfaction Guaranteed 和作者的生平。通过本单元的教学，旨在让学生了解科幻小说最大的特征在于，它赋予了"幻想"依靠科技在未来得以实现的极大可能，甚至有些"科学幻想"在多年以后，的确在科学上成为了现实。如Isaac Asimov1951年描述的机器人的部分功能已经被应用于现实生活和工作中。在教学中，要鼓励学生敢于幻想，大胆创新，发挥自己丰富的想象力和创作力，写出独具特色的科幻文章。

二、教学目标

我所带的学生，英语基础好的不太多，很难读完整篇文章就能掌握文意了, 所以有时候会出现老师自问自答唱独角戏的情况。为了照顾所有学生，让每位学生都参与教学活动。在开展教研活动时，我提出了这个因材施教的任务教学方法,效果颇好。在这一过程中，即使有些学生在前面的fast-reading中对课文认识不够，但经过后面的这一活动，绝大多数学生都能很好的理解课文。

四、教学过程

T: In this class we are going to learn about robots. Who would like to tell me what a robot is? S1:A robot is a machine. T: What kind of machine? S2: A robot is a kind of machine that can do a variety of often complex human tasks. T: How can a robot perform human tasks? S3: A robot is controlled by a computer. T: You are right. Then we can give the definition of a robot like this: A robot is a machine designed to do jobs that are usually performed by humans. Robots are programmed and controlled by a computer. Now look at some pictures. Divide them into different types and decide your favorite one. Step 3 Fast Reading 1.

Let the students read the passage quickly and then answer the questions How many characters are mentioned ? Who are they? What are they? What is the relation between them? 2.

本节课我是非常认真准备的，教学环节齐全,详略得当，重点突出。教学方法尽量多样化。多媒体课件的制作，尤其是学生课堂活动的设计是费了心思的。我努力将新的教学理念融入课堂，引导学生，激发学生积极参与课堂教学的每个环节，我一直认为英语是练会的，尽可能鼓励学生在课堂上多说英语，说是写的前提，会说他们才会巧说，才会写出好文章。本节课学生的表现还不错。教学过程中，为了突出体现或者进一步明确本节课的教学目标，总结是必要的，也是重要的。即使有的学生在前面的教学环节中没有悟出本节课的目标，通过小结他们可以重新拾起漏掉的知识，这一环节是对前面环节的巩固和补遗，必不可少。作业有两个：1.要求学生能够复述出本文的内容，提高学生的语言组织能力、表达能力以及运用英语思维的能力。3.要求学生熟记本课中的重点词汇，不断扩大词汇量，这是学好英语的必经之路。美中不足的是，原本想借助总结的知识结构图，请英语水平较高的两名学生当堂复述全文，为其他同学作好榜样，拉动一批学生养成复述课文的好习惯，可是由于个别环节时间分配上欠合理，导致后面时间有些紧，于是不得不省了。教中学，学中教，除了坚持做到五个“认真”，我还会坚持做到：认真研究新课标，新教材，不断学习和运用新的教育教学理念，不断优化自己的课堂教学，努力提高自己的教学水平和能力，想方设法提高课堂的实效性，尽最大的可能帮助学生们取得优异的成绩，为学生的可持续发展奠定良好的语言基础。

在阅读中一定要把握克莱尔（Claire）对于机器人托尼（Tony）的心理变化这条主线由最初的不喜欢---担心---尴尬---羡慕---喜欢---爱上。把握了这条主线，对文章的理解有很大的帮助。通过文章的阅读，可以让学生了解机器人给我们的生活带来的影响，对我们的帮助。这对未来科技这方面的写作有很大的帮助。

不足之处：

1. 对学生活动指导得不够，导致有的组讨论得不够充分。

2.在课堂上应尽可能地给学生更多锻炼口语的机会，练练胆量。

3.词汇的学习还得加强，习题设置注意多样化和趣味性。

满意之处：

1.利用多媒体教学，大大增加了课堂容量，也便于学生学习所学知识。

2.使用多媒体教学，学生乐学，善学，积极性高
