Step 1: Warming up 1.

Sing a song “Days of the week”

T: What day is it today?

What do we have on Thursdays？

What do you often do on the weekend ? Step2: Presentation 1.

Show a calendar, learn the title “Last weekend”

(Board: Last weekend) 2.

Enjoy the video of the song 3.

Look and say: look at the pictures, then answer “What did you do last weekend?”

Lead to the phrases and sentences “I went to the zoo/saw a film/played ping-pong”

Sing the first part of the song, sing in groups or other ways. 5.

Watch the pictures and learn the sentences “I watched TV/stayed at home and read a book”

Sing the second part of the song. 7.

Practice the song in different groups 8.
