教学设计说明：

学生情况分析：

本节课的授课对象是浦东新区逸夫小学五年级的学生，通过四年的牛津教材学习，学生具备了一定的语言基础，也养成了较好的语言思维习惯。能根据阅读材料，筛选并获取所需的关键信息并进行概括，听说读写能力初步养成。

教师教学策略：

结合这一单元的教学主题Water, 为了进一步激发学生的学习兴趣，对教学内容进行了重组。采用童话故事作为语言输入，通过观看Droppy的旅程，将语言知识与自然科学相结合，从而实现学生语言知识的积累、阅读技能的提升和对自然现象的理解。

单元教学任务分析：

牛津英语5AM4的主题是: The natural world。三个单元的话题分别是：Water, Wind , Fire。通过M4U1 Water这个一单元的学习，引导学生学习有关水的语言知识。能用副词first, next, then, finally描述泡茶的基本步骤；了解我国第一大河长江的发源地，流经区域，最终流入大海，并能用表示顺序的副词进行描述，感受祖国河山的壮美；结合学生练习册，了解水在不同气温条件下呈现的三种状态；通过故事The journey of Droppy，了解水循环永不停息这一奇妙的自然现象，感知水在生活中的重要性，提高学生自主思维能力，培养英语阅读技能。

Droppy lives in the sea. It is a sunny day. The sun shines. Droppy gets hot. He’s getting smaller and smaller. He becomes the water vapor and rises up to the sky. He flies very high in the sky. It is cool there. He becomes a tiny(very very small) water drop again. There are many tiny water drops in the sky. They come together to make a cloud. Now Droppy is in a cloud. Droppy is in a cloud. He rides on the wind. He flies over rivers and mountains. More and more water drops come to the cloud. The cloud is getting bigger and bigger. Droppy is also getting bigger and bigger. He is too big and falls down. He becomes the raindrop and comes back to the ground.
